Product Description

Meta-aramid thread is an inherent fire resistant sewing thread with 40 Tex thick.  Its composition is made of 100% of meta-aramid fibres, turning it into a permanent fire resistant thread that ensures its features during its whole lifespan, independently of its use or washes.  It is a cone of 5.000 m.

Meta-aramid flame retardant thread resists continuous temperatures of 200ºC and up 300ºC as peak temperatures.  Each cone contains 5,000 meters of thread with a dimension of 12x7 cm.  It is available in black, red and yellow.  It is recommended to use a sewing needle of a 80-100 metric.

Meta-aramid flame retardant thread is used to tailor all kinds of technical product that require from a fire resistant protection or a resistance to high temperatures.  It is widely used to tailor personal protection equipments (PPEs), flame retardant curtains, welding blankets, insulating coatings, fire carpets, thermal cases, laggings… It is also used to tailor household products, like sofas, sheets, curtains or pillows that require from fire resitant features, in public buildings, hospitals, or hotels.

This thread meets regulation EN ISO 15025-Protection clothes.  Protection against flames.  - With an A1-A2 result.
